About Me

Hi, I’m Ben. I’m the player you hand the controller to when your product’s stuck on a boss level.

Whether it’s a board game or video game that needs better onboarding, a digital platform that confuses more than it converts, or a shiny new feature no one’s using—I help teams figure out what to fix, what to try, and how to move forward without rolling a natural 1 on team morale.

I’ve worked on games where every button press matters, apps that turn browsers into buyers, and systems that make creative chaos actually productive. I don’t just redesign things—I help teams think clearer, test smarter, and build stuff people actually want to use (and maybe even pay for).

I’m a design therapist for games and weird products.

I’m kind of like a design DM. I help teams figure out where they’re stuck, what the quest really is, and how to build systems that feel good to use.

I tighten up rules, systems, and flow—like a playtest partner who speaks usability and vibes.

Mostly I help teams make their games and products more intuitive and joyful. Sometimes that’s about player flow, sometimes onboarding, sometimes just fixing ‘why does no one click this?’”

What I’m Great At Doing

Playability and Usability Strategist

I mix the joy of games with the clarity of great design. Whether it clicks, taps, or rolls dice, I help your product feel better, flow smoother, and make people smile (and maybe stick around).

Builder of Things That Make Sense

I turn “we have a lot of ideas” into “oh, this actually works.” I help teams zoom out, line things up, and shape experiences that don’t need a manual—or an apology.

Head of “Wait, Why Is This So Complicated?”

I help teams untangle confusing flows, bloated screens, and decisions made in Slack at 10pm. If your product feels like a puzzle no one asked for, I’ll help make it make sense.

Head of “Let’s Test It and Find Out!”

Tired of arguing in circles? I turn debates into experiments. We’ll stop guessing, run the test, and learn what your users actually think—without the drama.  Oh and get recommendations you need without doing the work yourself.

Team Design Kickstarter

Design team? What design team? I help you go from “we should probably hire someone” to “we’ve got a real process, and it works.” No chaos. No design theater. Just real traction.

Product Therapist (for humans, not features)

I talk to teams like a friend with good advice and a whiteboard. I help you name the real issues, sketch a path forward, and feel a lot less stuck. (Tissues not included.)
